As with my previous choices in cars, I'd already my first experience of the selection process. I have no meter drove my new car. The car is already (see photos), but only delivered the 12th may.
Why an Audi to a Super?

That may be a question that just bubbling. When my friends do, at least initially. The answer let itself surrender if in response, showing a picture of this car. Suddenly clearly understood my choice and a few questions when seeing the picture if this is other than Audi. Well no, but honestly, in profile, I understand that some people may think.

Well, why this car? I had a number of requirements for the new vehicle: automatic (what a pleasure it is to get into town and in traffic to avoid the necessity!), Space, like ample in the decoration and 21% addition. Recently I report in the selection list all pretty. Especially because the requirements have been tightened as regards the addition rate. A car that had 20% addition in 2015, by January 2016 could just suddenly have 25% addition.

The choice finally went between a Volkswagen Passat 1.6 TDI DSG or the Skoda Superb Combi 1.6 TDI DSG. I still prefer developed over the years for vehicles from the VAG group. Audi finally came out of the picture because I at least find the quality difference between Skoda and VW and the resulting higher surcharge absolutely no longer justify. The new A4 is now out of my scope and A3 takes a few options over VW Passat and much more than the Skoda Superb.

I think I'm definitely not the only one who ended up between these two cars have made a choice. Why Skoda instead of the Volkswagen? I personally think the line of Skoda better than the Volkswagen, Skoda is much richer features and also a lot cheaper in the lease. Ok, Skoda has not (yet) Active Info Display, but as well a month about 80 euros more to count down (in combination with other options to get similar equipment with the Super.

I chose a Superb Combi 1.6 TDI DSG in implementing Style Business with the additional options; a power passenger seat, panoramic sunroof, heated front screen, privacy glass, and Sirius rims. And thus the color Moon White metallic (metallic and not really white pearly white).

Just to compare, the Passat R-Line version (which I had in mind), with similar equipment and options came a month anyway so about 80 euro higher.

What's all over and on? Too many to list here, but things like a rearview camera, power front seats, an 8-inch multimedia system incl. Apple Carplay, automatic parking, a 12-channel Canton audio system, etc are still things that make life just a little easier.

My first impression? Yes awkward as my no meter've driven in my own car, although I do have a number of times in a new Superb ride now and longer pieces (the new Superb from a fellow weekend Lnown regarding a move and thus over 700 km driven). The car excels in space, tranquility and comfort.

Now wait until May 12 ... I go a week later, same three weeks on holiday in Europe, so the first part of driving experience I get here on this site in mid-June / July.

back here leave a message if you'd appreciate my review (s).

The first private skiing kilometers

As promised in my first impression, now a brief update after the first own 6,000 kilometers.
A few intensive weeks behind with the car for a holiday in which we crossed several European countries.

The car suits me perfectly. It is a comfortable touring car which is made to mileage. It's no speed demon with the 1.6 TDI DSG, but suffice just fine, even when loaded in the mountains. Then it is a delicious combination with the DSG as the car myself as ensures the correct speed to climb into the mountains. Consumption is also neat; average I came to 1 liter to 17.9 kilometers in the holidays. I expect that with regular use, consumption still will be slightly better.

The overall level of comfort is fine to mention; good seats in the Style Business which can be adjusted in all directions. The noise level in the Skoda is somewhat higher than in my previous car (an Audi 1.8 TFSI) but still a quiet car. The navigation has our music anywhere neat the way and the road was clear by the speakers.

No negatives? Not really, but some things that stand out to me. Very nice that black piano lacquer on the center but wow look at it gives all stains. I think the plastic trim on the doors prone to smudges and finger and armafdrukken. What I regret is that the operation of the Cruise control is not on the wheel but is placed on the handle of the indicator. It makes operation instinctively bit old-fashioned.

Furthermore, no crazy things. The space remains fantastic and funny simply clever solutions Skoda prove useful only if you suddenly can use. And then they come in handy ...

We are good on road

As I drove some more kilometers, again a little update, hoping that the read and appreciated

Meanwhile, nearly 12,000 km on the clock and put another holiday trip of 2500 km behind the French motorways and roads. I devour the kilometers with ease with this Superb; it remains a lovely, comfortable touring car. The handling suits me perfectly and is comfortable enough even with 19-inch wheels. There is less transmitted than in my previous car (A4 with 18-inch S-line and chassis). The downside is that you can lower the car "corners" but then there is the car certainly not.

Consumption is also very pleasant; longer trips are 1 in 19 to achieve very well without driving like a snail.

At Skoda forum experienced by some problems with the automatic opening of the trunk (virtual pedal); to me it works flawlessly. I also do not suffer from rattles, creaks o.i.d .; The car is built solid. Even with bad road no strange noises.

However, the car can go back to the garage. I apparently b choice of the manufacturer of chrome moldings; starting now certainly save from dull and white. Apparently that is exemplary, because I can not find it at 3 colleagues who also drive a Superb.

I have not had any trouble and no oil or other fluids need refilling.

And it is still fun to take people in the car then marvel at the space on the back; Also the rear entrance is easy through the large rear doors. And yes, the panorama is wonderful; plenty of light even in the back which only enhances the sense of space.

Hassle but we say goodbye

The car is now 13 months old, but I leave the car by an employer change for a (former) colleague.

The car was an enjoyable experience that ample year. Few cars offer my experience as much value for money: the area is unbeatable, the options are endless car and engine combination + DSG is fine.

I am happy to set up more than 45 000 km and without problems. The last holiday trip was a short month ago and still covered some 3,500 km. I can truly say that I got off relatively rested after driving 1400 km. That's because the good seats, but also by the car's comfort and handling (despite the 19-inch wheels). The car just has a good mix of comfort, space and things that make life on board. However, it remains annoying that despite the navigation update, the cards are ever appear again outdated. This applies to almost every car but you'd actually do not have to use your phone as additional menu.

Things that can be improved? Oh, those piano black center console remains beautiful but oh so vulnerable. Apple CarPlay unfortunately sometimes gives some fault; cable inside and out than the solution. Furthermore, no real points.

In a week I leave there. Meanwhile, another private car purchased which I of course also go write a review about a BMW 520D station High Executive breaker in June 2012.
